Manufacturing Plant Receptionist

The Manufacturing Plant Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and
vendors entering the manufacturing facility. This role plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive and
professional experience for all individuals while maintaining the security and efficiency of the reception
area.

Job Summary:

  • Greet Visitors:
    - Welcome and assist visitors, employees, and vendors in a courteous and friendly manner.
    - Ensure all guests sign in, issue visitor badges, and provide them with necessary instructions or
    directions.
  • Answer and Direct Calls:
    - Operate the multi-line phone system, answer incoming calls, and transfer them to the appropriate
    department or individual.
    - Provide general information, take messages, and handle inquiries professionally.
  • Administrative Support:
    - Assist with various administrative tasks, such as sorting and distributing mail, scheduling meetings,
    and managing conference room reservations.
    - Maintain the reception area in a clean and organized condition.
  • Security and Access Control:
    - Monitor access to the facility by verifying the identity of individuals and ensuring they have proper
    authorization.
    - Follow established security protocols to maintain the safety and confidentiality of the manufacturing
    plant.
  • Record Keeping:
    - Maintain visitor logs, sign-in sheets, and other records as required.
    - Keep track of employee attendance, if necessary.
  • 8. Customer Service:
    - Provide excellent customer service to all visitors and employees.
    - Address any concerns or issues with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications:

  • - High school diploma or equivalent.
    - Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred.
    - Proficiency in using office equipment, including multi-line phones, computers, and office software (e.g.,
    Microsoft Office).
    - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful or challenging situations.
    - Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
    - Knowledge of security procedures and emergency protocols is a plus.
    - Willingness to learn and adapt to the manufacturing plant specific policies and procedures.
