Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Preferred.

Experience:

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Stable work history preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Must pass drug/alcohol test.
  • Must pass physical demand screen.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Standing, lifting, hanging.
  • Good interpersonal skills (Basic Principles).
  • Team-oriented mindset.

Equipment/Job Tools:

  • Proficiency with air guns, crimp guns, testers, and all assembly equipment.

Essential Job Functions (7-10):

  • Assemble Components: Assemble plug wires, shoot screws, repair, and test.
  • Utilize Tools Effectively: Shoot screws using various types of air tools without chipping or damaging parts or products within the time allowed.
  • Wire Management: Plug wires properly and align materials or parts on the unit accurately.
  • Handle Insulation: Handle and correctly place insulation on the unit.
  • Parts Identification: Identify parts by the correct part number and place correct parts on the unit.
  • Adhere to Production Schedule: Follow model mix-sequence according to production schedule.

Physical Demands of the Position:

Frequent handling, lifting, reaching, and fine motor dexterity; occasional bending, stooping, climbing, and pushing/pulling. Handling and carrying parts/equipment of a minimum of 32 lbs and pushing/pulling 44 lbs. Ability to work with parts/equipment in various temperatures and a loud/noisy environment.

Related Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Safety Compliance: Follow all EHS guidelines, Job Safety Instructions (JSI), wear proper PPE, and maintain a clean, orderly work environment.
  • Ergonomic Considerations: Apply ergonomic principles to the job, identify EHS problems, and propose solutions.
  • Time Management: Be on station when the line is running, and maintain punctuality during breaks/lunch.
  • Team Participation: Fill Representative Role when nominated or volunteered, participate in team meetings, and work well with others.
  • Quality Control: Follow Quality policy and guidelines, know how to respond to Quality Audit questions, inspect according to Quality standards, and manage rejected parts or materials.
