Flux core and arc welder:  Welds structural materials such as plates, sheets, girders, tanks, etc., occasionally involving uncommon structural metals or machine metals under close tolerances of heat application and workmanship


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 5 years of experience in structural steel or fabrication welding.
• Must be capable of welding to AWS D1.5 quality and specifications.
• Must be capable of passing fracture critical inspections.
• Must possess good communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to read and understand shop fabrication drawings and be able to layout, fit-up and form material according to the prints.
• Must have a good understanding of welding symbols.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Preferred Requirements

• Prior bridge work experience.
• Experience in overhead crane operation.
